SUMMER INTENSIVE 2009
From June 26th-August 29th 2009 The BLADE Academy in conjunction with The Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory in NYC is holding its Annual Summer Intensive.
Dancers of all skill levels from all over the world travel to this hip-hop dance intensive every year!
The purpose of this Summer Intensive is to enable dancers of varying levels to develop basic to advanced knowledge and skills in hip-hop dance through acquisition of BLADE Dance Technique, choreographic skill, aesthetic awareness, and performance quality within a cultural, historical and practical context.
The classes will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Choreography Gauntlet (learning various HDC repertory)
Contextual Classes (anatomy, dance theory, kinesiology etc.).
Body Conditioning (get the dancer body and learn to maintain it)
Hip-Hop 101 (what is hip-hop?)
Cipher Circle (intensive work on freestyle)
NYC Outings (trips, projects and the sort)
End of intensive performance (great way to end off over 2 months of intense training)
AND MUCH MORE!!
Note: All dancers will receive a certificate upon completion of the intensive .
